 From New York City and points south:
From I-95 North to Route 138 east (Exit 3A in RI). Follow to "Jamestown/Newport Bridges" (Newport Bridge is a toll bridge). Refer to Via Newport Bridge below. Newport is located 99 miles from Hartford and 165 miles from New York City.
From I-93 South to Route 128 South to Route 24 and "Fall River." This is a LEFT LANE exit. Route 24 South will intersect with I-195 at Fall River. Take I-195 West towards "Providence" and take first exit (Exit 8)
to "Tiverton/Newport;" it again becomes Route 24 South. Stay on Route 24S to exit Route 138 South to "Middletown/Newport Beaches." Make a right at bottom of exit ramp (Turnpike Avenue) and proceed to
traffic light; make a right onto Route 138 South (East Main Road). Refer to Newport is located 75 miles from Boston, Follow signs to I-95 South to Route 4 South (this exit will be on your LEFT and is very easy to miss!). Route 4 merges
into Route 1. Stay in your right lane and exit to Route 138 East to "Jamestown/Newport Bridges;" it will be the first exit on your right. Refer to Newport is located 35 miles from Providence and 27 miles from T.F. Green/Providence, RI Airport.
DIRECTIONS TO THE NEWPORT ROSE COTTAGEVia Newport Bridge
Take first right exit off Newport Bridge to "Scenic Newport." Make a right onto Farewell Street. At second light make a
right onto America's Cup Avenue. Follow to seventh set of lights and stay on the left; the road becomes Memorial
Boulevard. Proceed up hill. At top of hill, take left onto Bellevue Avenue (Talbots will be on your right). Follow Bellevue
Avenue for about 400 yards, then make a left onto Church Street (if you pass The Viking Hotel, you've just passed
Church Street). Follow Church Street to the first left onto Division Street. The Rose Cottage is the first driveway on the left (76 Division Street). Continue on Route 138 South for approximately 10-15 minutes to the Dunkin' Donuts and Fleet Bank (both on your
right) and make a left at the light onto Route 138A South to "Newport Beaches." At second set of lights, bear left and
continue past the beach and Easton Pond. Proceed up the hill to Bellevue Avenue. Make a right onto Bellevue Avenue
(Talbots will be on your left). Follow Bellevue Avenue for about 400 yards, then make a left onto Church Street (if you
pass The Viking Hotel, you've just passed Church Street). Follow Church Street to the first left onto Division Street. The Rose Cottage is the first driveway on the left (76 Division Street). |
